1. Insert the thumb drive to an empty USB slot. Take note the drive letter. For an example, E
- Open an elevated (admin) Command Prompt:
Windows XP – click Start All Programs Accessories Command Prompt
Windows Vista or Windows 7 * – click Start All Programs Accessories then _right click on_ ‘Command Prompt’ and click on ‘Run as administrator’
*Windows 8 - WINKEY + Q type cmd in the search box then right click on ‘Command Prompt’ and click on ‘Run as administrator’
3.* *Enter this command,
- Press Enter and wait for the command to execute.
- Open the thumb drive and you should see the files that were hidden by the virus.
